Complete Refurbishment and Extension of riverside family home in Putney

Apart from a complete refurbishment in Putney, the most challenging aspect of this project was to stop erosion from the river Thames and from pulling the house into the river. Halting erosion from a powerful body of water like the River Thames requires advanced engineering solutions that can withstand strong currents. Implementing erosion control measures without harming the river’s ecosystem is a delicate balance that must be carefully managed. Also, preventing river erosion can be an expensive endeavor, requiring significant financial investment to ensure the stability and safety of the property.

A complicated structural project using Pilled foundations up to the height of a 3 storey house were installed to provide stability for the house. A complete rewire and peplum with under floor heating was installed. Two new classic bathrooms worthy of a film set and a top end designer kitchen were commissioned to provide one of the best riverside developments in Putney.
